The Prophet ﷺ said: “The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like one who strives in the cause of Allah, or like one who fasts during the day and prays throughout the night” Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī (5353) and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim (2982).
Another narration states: “Allah continues to help the servant so long as the servant continues to help his brother” Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim (2699).
